In my life, I had difficulty learning mathematics initially. My lack of understanding of mathematical concepts can be explained as “math anxiety”. My fear, lack of confidence, and dislike of math translated into dismal grades. Subsequently, I created new techniques and procedures to overcome my shortcomings and become confident and comfortable. I realized that I really liked math and that I could pursue degrees in Engineering, in Computer Science, in Education, in Organizational Change, and in Business and Administration which required excellent math abilities. I also realized that what I discovered on my own could be taught to others who also suffer from math anxiety. With these new techniques and procedures, I could change the lives of young students as I had changed my own life.
MathVantage welcomes students who have a solid math background and want to study in advance, students who are discouraged from learning math, or students who have a high level of math anxiety.
I strongly advise young students that intend to learn math in advance to follow the mathematics techniques and procedures from their current school program, and never use a different methodology without the permission of their current math professors.
